Consultancy services, provided to energy production projects and their investors, can be defined as investment management. SIMORG, at that point, coordinates all works (technical, contractual and administrative) in the course of project implementation and orchestrated work of all stakeholders.
Usually, following issues in the investment process of an energy production project are managed, supervised and/or coordinated by SIMORG;
- Preliminary technical and economical assessment of a candidate project
- Detailed technical and economical assessment of a candidate project to constitute a basis for decision of investment
- Technical issues during the entire investment process of the project, such as, feasibility survey, mapping, geological survey, final and implementation projects
- Obtaining required permissions and licenses, completion and finalization of secondary contracts
- Contracting out engineering services, equipment procurement, construction works and other complementary procedures
- Bilateral official relations with the relevant state institutions such as Energy Market Regulatory Authority, Ministry of Energy, General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works, Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation, Turkish Electricity Distribution Corporation, Ministry of Environment, Forest Administration and etc. and local administrations such as, Governor’s Office and Distric– Governorship and etc.
- Land acquisition works including privately owned lands (expropriation) and public lands (public domain, forests)
- Control and supervision of field implementation works and coordination of works, which are being done by different contractors
- Final and complementary works such as project approval, provisional acceptance from relevant institutions, and energy sales contracts
As a Technical Consultant on behalf of Financiers, following procedures are run, end results are identified and reported to Employers – Banks in this case – for candidate or financed projects;
- As a high level review for the project; feasibility report, geological surveys, review and assessment of technical aspects, comprising of final and implementation projects
- As a high level review for the project; review and assessment of administrative aspects, comprising of licenses, permissions, secondary contracts, insurances and environmental issues
- Along with the quality of the performed duties, monitoring and reporting the physical and financial development of field implementations according to investment plan
- Giving recommendations to parties regarding prevention/compensation after defining possible budget and time exceeding at phase of implementation
- Inspection of equipment and complete facility performances and approval with Closing Report
